Neville Staple was passionate about music, his enthusiasm and ability won a him a place on stage as a ‘toaster’ and a dancer for Pete at his Monday night set at the Locarno. Neville caught the attention of Waterman later in life with his punk/ska band The Automatics who later became The Specials. No crystal ball could have told from those Monday nights at the Coventry Locarno, both Neville Staples and Manager Pete Waterman would hitch their wagon to a star and achieve such fame. ......After all they were just 2 Rude boys.
